To succeed in this senior leadership role, you need to have extensive experience in all aspects of financial and management accounting functions and a proven record of accomplishment in:
STRATEGIC LEADERSHIP - leading and managing a high performing team in the provision of financial accounting services across a large diverse organisation.
TECHNICAL EXPERTISE - providing expert technical advice on financial matters to a broad range of stakeholder groups with differing needs and expectations.
OPERATIONAL - implementing and managing frameworks in the areas of financial accounting, taxation, investment, asset accounting.
COMMUNICATION - producing complex reports, correspondence and briefing material for senior, executive management and elected officials; ensuring professional and respectful communication with customers and key stakeholders.
RELATIONSHIPS - establishing and maintaining effective liaison internally and externally with key stakeholders and working collaboratively across the organisation in an ethical, friendly, efficient and professional manner.
WORKPLACE HEALTH & SAFETY - Compliance with workplace health and safety statutes, regulations and prescribed procedures, managing risk in day to day activities and projects.
INNOVATION - achieving high standards with a continuous improvement approach.
Minimum requirements of the role include: Demonstrated relevant work experience in a similar role, ideally in a medium to large complex organisation.
A tertiary qualification in Business, Accountancy, Commerce or Finance Management and full membership of Certified Practicing Accountants or the Institute of Chartered Accountants.
Ability to provide satisfactory results for all employment related background and police checks.
