As a Copy Editor, you'll play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy, clarity and quality of our content. Your meticulous attention to detail, exceptional command of language and ability to uphold brand voice and style guidelines will be instrumental in maintaining our reputation for excellence. You'll review and edit written materials, including our newsletters, legal updates, practice notes and standard documents, to ensure they meet our high standards. You'll work alongside our talented team of lawyer writers to produce high-quality content that resonates with our audience and aligns with our brand.

About the Role In this opportunity as Copy Editor, Practical Law Australia, you will:
Review and edit new and maintained content for accuracy, grammar, punctuation and style.
Verify cases, legislation, quotes and sources cited in the content.
Collaborate with lawyer writers and other stakeholders to ensure consistency and quality.
Develop and maintain our Style Guide and content standards.
Ensure content displays correctly and links are working on the Practical Law website.
Assist with linking as required and support the team with troubleshooting our content management system and templates.
Support Thomson Reuters in building and nurturing an inclusive culture where difference is valued and respected.
About You
You're a fit for the role of Copy Editor, Practical Law Australia if your background includes:
You are a detail-oriented and meticulous editor with a passion for quality content.
You are a team player with excellent communication and collaboration skills.
You are curious and adaptable, and willing to speak up.
You possess strong attention to detail and ability to meet tight deadlines.
You have exceptional command of the English language.
You have a Bachelor's degree in English, journalism, communications or a related field.
You noticed the use of the letter z in the words "revolutionizing" and "organization" above, and it bothered you. You questioned the use of contractions in this formal document and whether the headings needed to be in initial caps, and why the bulleted list started with a capital and ended with a full stop instead of lower case and semi colon.
