But enough about us, let's talk aboutyou An exciting opportunity exists for a highly skilled andmotivated individual to lead the City's innovative YouthDevelopment Team.
In this leadership role you will be responsible for coordinatingYouth Development for the City of Mandurah and for leading,developing and delivering organisational objectives. You will bringcommunity or youth development industry experience and bestpractice in being the driver delivering the City's innovativeYouth Strategy 2021-2026 within its 4 key pillars, 'LocalSpaces & Places, Learning & Working, Connection &Wellbeing, and Leading & Creating.' You will lead a team of 14 specialist Youth Development andYouth Program Officers (7.1FTE) and have day to day oversight ofthe Billy Dower Youth Centre, located in Dower Street Mandurah. Youwill also have oversight of the award-winning Mandurah JuniorCouncil and Mandurah Youth Advisory Group and be outward focused increating new connections and opportunities in community.
To be successful in this role, you willhave: A tertiary qualification in a community/youth developmentfield, or relevant disciplineKnowledge of trends, policies, planning and servicedelivery in contemporary youth developmentLeadership, staff supervision skills and ability to lead ateam autonomouslyThe ability to develop, implement and manage business plansand budgetsGood interpersonal skills and the ability to relate to awide cross section of people and organisationsExperience in maximising opportunities and supportingagencies in a co-located facilityA current National Police Clearance and Working WithChildren Check (or willingness to obtain)You will also be available for some occasional weekend andevening work.As part of our recruitment process, you will be required tocomplete a drug and alcohol test.The finer details This permanent full-time Level 9 position attracts a salaryrange of $125,891 to $134,254 gross per annum depending onqualifications and experience, plus an additional $14,000 gross perannum car allowance (total remuneration package$139,891 to $148,254 gross per annum exclusive ofsuperannuation).
