This is a permanent full-time position commencing Term 1, 2025The RoleWe are looking for an enthusiastic and dedicated Vocational Education and Training VET Coordinator to join our team and play a crucial role in shaping the future of our students.
In this role, you will ideally assist in developing and establishing high-quality and innovative VET programs designed to help students achieve their Western Australian Certificate of Education (WACE).
Your primary responsibilities would include strengthening connections between industry, schools, and community agencies, while promoting apprenticeship and traineeship pathways that align with students' career aspirations.As a member of our team, you should collaborate to create lower school programs focused on preparing students for future employment and educational opportunities.
You should also support teachers in implementing these programs effectively.
Your role involves developing targeted VET programs for diverse student groups, including those who are educationally disadvantaged, Indigenous, or have disabilities, ensuring that all students receive tailored support to prevent disengagement and foster their success.Additionally, you will ideally engage and mentor students throughout their training and assessment processes, maintaining clear communication about course requirements and resources.
You would ensure that delivery and assessment materials adhere to Australian Quality Training Framework (AQTF) standards and Department guidelines, while continuously improving them.
Building and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders, including schools, Registered Training Organisations (RTOs), industry partners, parents, and students, will be vital to advancing the quality and reputation of our VET programs.
