This position offers an opportunity to make a meaningful impact by guiding the Technologies faculty towards excellence and innovation in education.Key ResponsibilitiesSupport the implementation of the College's Annual and Strategic Plans in collaboration with College Leadership.Set and model high teaching standards, fostering an optimal learning environment for all students.Work with staff to incorporate advancements in teaching and learning practices.Foster effective relationships among students, staff, and parents within the community.Conduct regular professional learning conversations with Faculty staff to support their engagement in targeted learning aligned with school goals.QualificationsBachelor of Teaching or Master of Teaching.Working with Vulnerable People (WWVP).Teaching Quality Institute (TQI) accreditation.Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (Desirable)Selection CriteriaA comprehensive understanding of Catalyst initiatives and High Impact Teaching Practices and the need to provide appropriate support and feedback to teaching staff.A thorough knowledge of the Australian Curriculum and ACT BSSS courses with the ability to organise, select and design content for effective teaching and learning within the classroom and across the school.Demonstrated capability to coordinate a teaching team effectively, supervise staff across different subject areas, promote their own and the department's professional development, and work with the staff to effect change.Demonstrated excellence in verbal and written communication skills, including high-level mediation and conflict resolution skills and interpersonal skills with the ability to build community.The ability to exercise sound judgment, including dealing with confidential matters.Other Eligibility CriteriaYou must be an Australian Citizen or Permanent Resident to be eligible to apply for this position.Appointment is subject to satisfactory employment screening for child-related employment in accordance with CECG policy.Application ProcessApplicants are required to submit a cover letter and current resume including a statement of suitability against the skills, attributes, and experience as outlined in the Position Description.This position involves working with children.
