Coordinator Strategic Finance/Senior Accountant
Full Time (Fixed Term – March 2025) Location – Proserpine (Hybrid working arrangements considered) Base Salary - $102,846 to $126,409 per annum Our region extends over 23,862 square kilometres and includes the major townships of Airlie Beach, Bowen, Cannonvale,Collinsvilleand Proserpine, with numerous rural and coastal communities and residential areas scattered throughout the area.
We administerin excess of$1.3?billion in assets, including four?library branches, six aquatic facilities, four customer service centres as well as various major infrastructure and equipment. We maintain 1,784 km of roads and 120 parks and open spaces.

Reporting to the Manager Financial Services, this is afantastic fixed-term opportunity for a capable, efficient and organised individualto leada team that facilitates Council's budget and budget review processes, statutory reporting and provision of expert advice to the wider leadership team. You will partner with the business to ensure long-term financial sustainability and compliance with legislative and Accounting Standards.
You will have Local Government experience and will be responsible for ensuring Councils corporate and statutory financial requirements are achieved through reporting and your systems knowledge, as well asdeveloping and implementing new and innovative initiativesin the Finance Strategy.
Being highly organised with attention to detail,together with the ability to partner with a wide range of key stakeholdersis essential for success in the role. Your demonstrated leadership experience will assist you in leading a team to enhance the employee experience, professional development whilst driving continuous improvement and innovative thinking.
Council is willing to discuss the options of working arrangements for the ideal candidate. This could include a Hybrid/Remote working arrangement for an experience individual.
