If so, this is your opportunity to live, work, and play a short drive from stunning coastlines, scenic trails, magnificent jarrah forests, and the food and wine heartland of the South-West and Peel Regions of Western Australia.Our integrated Bauxite Mine, Alumina Refinery, and Port Operation is creating the essential products needed for a sustainable low-carbon future and is on a journey to become the world's leading Alumina producer where our 1500+ workforce value the lifestyle that Worsley Alumina has to offer.WHAT SOUTH32 OFFERSCompetitive salaries including Short-Term Incentive BonusAdditional employer superannuation contributions which depend on the level of employee contributions you choose.Participation in the Employee Share PlanFlexible working arrangements and industry-leading parental leave and family care policyABOUT THE ROLEThis role is a Permanent position on a 9-day fortnight roster, DIDO to our Worsley Alumina Refinery, which is a short drive from Collie (15 minutes), Bunbury (35 minutes) – and other nearby scenic communities.As the Coordinator Production (BRDA Construction), you will be responsible predominantly for works planning and contractor management, ensuring safe execution of the annual BRDA Construction scope of works.Working closely with the Superintendent, other Coordinators, and the BRDA Engineering & Operations teams to actively manage construction activities in-line with the site standards, the scope of work, and technical specifications, the BRDA Construction Coordinator is integral in ensuring works are delivered safely, on time, and on budget each year.Other key responsibilities include, but aren't limited to:Work collaboratively with the Contractor Lead team to enable construction works to be undertaken safely & efficiently.Drive continuous improvement initiatives to ensure Worsley construction methodologies remain in line with industry best practice.Undertake routine fatal risk verification activities in-field, ensuring everyone goes home safe and well.Work collaboratively with the BRDA Engineering team to respond to technical queries/clarifications from the Contractor.Participate in the weekly pre-planning, planning, and scheduling meetings to ensure alignment and commitment of resources to the work schedule.ABOUT YOUYou will have experience and demonstrate capability in the following:A minimum of five (5) years' experience in either a civil construction or mining production environment.Demonstrated capability to successfully lead teams and influence others.Experience in engaging with internal and external stakeholders such as corporate governance or government departments.Operation and/or construction of Tailings Storage Facilities (TSF).Installation and maintenance of HDPE and carbon steel piping systems.Qualifications for this position are:Preferred – Qualification in Civil Engineering, Tailings Management, Civil Construction, Project Management, Leadership, and/or Soil Mechanics.Have or be willing to obtain Schedule 26 Statutory Supervisor Appointment.South32 is committed to building and maintaining an inclusive and diverse workforce that reflects the communities in which we operate.
