Coordinator Placemaking and Economic DevelopmentBurwood Council is seeking a forward-thinking Coordinator Placemaking and Economic Development to lead the transformation and activation of key public spaces, driving economic growth, cultural vibrancy, and community engagement. This pivotal role will focus on planning and delivering innovative placemaking initiatives that foster strong social, cultural, and environmental outcomes, while promoting Burwood as a dynamic destination.
As the Coordinator Placemaking and Economic Development, you'll join a council known for its progressive approach, working to build strategic relationships with local businesses, community groups, and stakeholders to foster a vibrant and inclusive network of town centres and public spaces. You will lead a range of activations that align with Council's broader vision for economic development and community engagement. Your role will also support Burwood's growing economy, including 24-hour activation efforts, and ensure public spaces reflect the needs of the community.
We're looking for someone with a strong background in placemaking, public space activation, and project management, with the ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously. Your skills in collaboration, innovation, and strategic thinking will be key to enhancing Burwood's public spaces and supporting its economic development goals.
