City employees enjoy a work environment that encourages professional development and promotes a healthy work-life balance.About this positionThe City of Gosnells is seeking an experienced leader to manage its Parks Operations team overseeing the inspection and maintenance of over 300 parks and nine active reserves.As Coordinator Parks Operations, you will lead a large, dedicated team delivering high quality public open space and active reserve outcomes. The focus of the position will include active performance management of all resources to ensure service levels are maintained, along with the ability to critically review, analyse and plan for the future.Based at the Operations Centre in Maddington, this is an opportunity to drive excellence in parks management and contribute to the Parks and Environment branch and the City's vision.In this role, you willLead and supervise a Parks Operations team, including four direct and 50 indirect reportsOversee maintenance of parks and reserves to meet community standardsDevelop and implement strategies for operational effectiveness and efficiencyEnsure compliance with safety and legislative requirementsPrepare and manage budgets, ensuring cost-effective deliveryEngage stakeholders through community consultations and internal collaborationsWhat we are looking forTo be successful you must be able to demonstrate:Extensive experience in parks operations and maintenanceStrong leadership and team development skills, with the ability to manage diverse workforcesAdvanced problem-solving and analytical abilities to resolve complex issuesProven success in delivering strategic and operational outcomes through innovation and continuous improvementDiploma or higher qualifications in Horticulture, Turf Management, Parks Management or equivalentWhite CardCurrent Driver's LicenceCurrent National Police Clearance (less than three months old).
