About this position The City has four libraries in Thornlie, Gosnells, Southern River and a brand-new library in Beckenham.
The Library Service is part of the Leisure and Culture Branch that includes the City's aquatic and recreation centre Leisure World, Don Russell Performing Arts Centre and Heritage Services, including the Wilkinson Homestead Museum.
We are seeking a dynamic leader to join our library leadership team and help shape the future of library services in the City of Gosnells.
In this position you will have responsibility for overseeing staffing and operations at two branch libraries.
In addition, you will coordinate activities in the customer experience portfolio across the library service, including oversight of library programs, outreach and partnerships, and responsibility for the customer and membership experience.
What we are looking for To be successful you must be able to demonstrate:
Experience in change managementExperience leading and supervising a teamStrong communication and networking skills to engage with community members, stakeholders and service providersStrong customer service and stakeholder relations skillsQualification in Library, Information Management or equivalent fieldCurrent National Police Clearance (less than three months old).
