•Permanent full-time, Werribee-based

A bit about the role We do things differently at Wyndham City, and the Coordinator Landscape Subdivisions plays a pivotal role in ensuring the effective delivery of high-quality design based outcomes in the built or natural environment.
Reporting to the Manager of Manager Planning Building & Health, as part the leadership team you will foster a culture of inclusion, safety, and care for our people with a focus on achieving Council and Organisational objectives.
A dynamic, people and outcome-focused leader, you will lead a passionate team championing the Wyndham Values whilst contributing to long-term success and positive community outcomes.
With a strong background in change leadership, project delivery, service planning, and landscape experience, you are ideally positioned to ensure the Council has effective and efficient service and delivery models to meet its service levels.
What you will deliver · Lead the Unit effectively and proactively to contribute to growth area planning to ensure
liveability and practical, maintainable, and aesthetic outcomes within the built or natural environment.
· Lead, develop and motivate staff, through coaching, supervision, performance development
and management, and reinforcement of Council values and policies.
· Negotiate improved development outcomes, for larger development proposals
or proposals which will have an impact upon the built or natural environment.
· Provide professional input into the development of policies, plans, guidelines and
mechanisms for improved design outcomes for private and public urban development as
well as an enhanced efficiency of outputs.
· Provide high level advice to senior management and Council on design issues and projects.
· Prepare project briefs and supervise external consultants / service providers to deliver
services on behalf of Council.
· Develop and implement the Unit's business plan and manage the Unit's budget and the
capital works budget assigned to the Unit.
What you will bring · Extensive people leadership experience, promoting cross-divisional collaborated outcomes
· Extensive experience in landscape and urban design projects within local government or the private sector
· Exceptional communications and interpersonal skills including the ability to negotiate, work across teams and provide clear and high-level advice and support
· Proven ability to effectively address and resolve strategic issues that arise within a growth area municipality, ensuring sustainable development and alignment with municipal goals
