We believe in the talent and strength of our team, so that, in aim to keep growing together, we are looking for one PROJECT DESIGNER as part of our Head Office team in Brisbane, QLD (4000). 
Responsibilities: The position of PROJECT DESIGNER is accountable for planning & design, managing and controlling assigned project(s) to ensure timely completion, compliance with customer requirements, maximum efficiency in the use of Company resources and maximum profitability. The position is also responsible for all technical work on a project in accordance with the OHS&E, contract and QA requirements.
The successful applicant will be able to lead a design team and communicate to all stakeholders. 
Prepare and maintain the Design Plan for the duration of the project; Ensure that all elements of the design are coordinated between all design team members; Ensure that the design conforms to all safety, environmental, construction, commissioning and operating requirements; Endeavour to ensure that the design is executed such that the cost of the related constructed items, are within the project budget; Ensure that the design team provides all necessary support to the procurement, construction and commissioning teams; Monitor external design consultants to ensure that the elements of their design (including verification) are coordinated with overall design, procurement and construction requirements;  Monitor and control timeliness of outputs for all design and liaise with the Project Manager to ensure project requirements are satisfied; Prepare a project Close-out Report at the end of the project;  Execute a design leadership role to assist in the preparation of tenders including:Setting up and administering the tender design filing system; Ensuring all elements of the tender design are coordinated between design team members; Monitor external design consultants to ensure that the elements of their tender design are coordinated with overall tender design; and Monitor and control timeliness of tender design outputs;  With the aid of Principal Engineers, consolidate the engineering estimate for inclusion in the tender; Attending approved seminars, courses and in-house training;  Ensure compliance with all record keeping requirements; Review approval and sign off, RPEQ of all design deliverables if required; and  Undertake any adhoc projects, initiatives, tasks as directed by the Engineering Manager. Requirements: Qualifications in Technological Design; Must hold strong skills in administration and project management, including strong communication skills with the ability to communicate clearly, effectively and regularly with team members, client representatives, subcontractors and any other stakeholders; Proactive;  Technical capabilities; and Must hold at least 5 years of relevant working experience within design project management with experience in the renewable energies field desirable. The position is full time (38 hours).
Location is Brisbane, QLD (4000)
