About the position: Based within the Property Services branch, this position is responsible for ensuring the ongoing effective management of the City's land acquisitions, rationalisations and disposals, as well as overseeing lease agreements for a number of assets within the City's property portfolio. This position will work closely with the Manager Property Services to develop and implement appropriate systems to ensure the ongoing viability of City land assets now and into the future. Key accountabilities: Manage the City's land acquisitions, disposals, community and commercial property leasing. Manage the day-to-day operations in support of the City's land and property leases, inclusive of property inspections and lease review, renewal and extension. Develop policies, procedures and strategies on key property management issues in accordance with Council processes. Provide advice on land transactions, sales, and ongoing land management in relation to environmental, structural and legislative requirements. Position requirements: The successful candidate will ideally possess a degree in Property Management (or related field) with relevant experience, or a lesser qualification with significant experience. Additionally, extensive experience in property rationalisation and management as well as high levels of interpersonal and time management skills are requirements of this position. Completion of a pre-employment medical including alcohol and other substances testing is required of all positions at the City. Remuneration and benefits: A salary starting from $115,954 per annum or $58.6814 per hour will be offered dependent on knowledge, skills, experience and qualifications.
