About You
Join our team as the Coordinator, Governance and Quality and play a pivotal role in providing high-level professional support to college committees and managing student complaints and appeals processes.
You will be responsible for providing expert administrative support for program and course review and ensuring the program and course lifecycle processes follow an efficient and compliant governance process.
You will work collaboratively with the Senior Coordinator, the team, College leaders and with key internal and external stakeholders as you coordinate a variety of governance-related functions in the College. The role represents an excellent career development opportunity as you learn about all things STEM College.
To be successful in this position, you will have:
Proven knowledge and demonstrated experience in the coordination and delivery of corporate and academic governance in the tertiary education sector, including in policy development and quality assurance.Demonstrated experience in the provision of high-level executive support for University/College committees, preferably within a tertiary education environment while working on complex, sensitive and confidential matters.Sound knowledge of administrative processes relating to committee procedures, with experience in the preparation of minutes and reporting on arising issues, formal voting processes, protocol issues, program and course development approvals and student complaints and appeals.Highly developed interpersonal skills, written and verbal communication skills, attention to detail and accuracy, and a proven ability to convey complex information, ideas and concepts clearly and efficiently to a variety of different audiences.Excellent organisational and time management skills with proven ability to manage multiple tasks under pressure and re-adjust workload priorities to meet conflicting deadlines.Demonstrated ability to think critically and use analytical and problem-solving skills, to develop and implement new procedures and guidelines to contribute to organisational efficiency and client service objectives.Demonstrated proficiency in various software packages.Demonstrated ability to contribute effectively in a team, including supporting and guiding Governance and Quality Senior officers in day-to-day processes.Experience in identifying and coordinating projects and continuous improvement initiatives relevant to governance and team functions.Please Note: Appointment to this position is subject to passing a Working with Children and National Police Check.
