The team employs a variety of sales and marketing strategies aimed at targeting prospective student cohorts, and their key influencers, and to position ECU as a leading public university in WA. The team is instrumental in promoting ECU's courses, providing advice on admission requirements and information about entry pathways. The team also plays a pivotal role in managing the University's relationships with high school career counsellors, VET academics, industry partners and other education providers.As a Coordinator with the Future Student Engagements team, you will be responsible for actively planning and participating in activities and services related to recruitment of future students to the University. This includes but is not limited to: visiting and presenting to schools, colleges, registered training organisations and other groups, and promoting ECU as a preferred higher education provider to our potential students. As Coordinator, you will be required to drive to various locations and so a valid driver's licence is required.What you'll do:Develop presentations and present information to a diverse range of prospective students to foster interest in ECU as preferred higher education providerInput/Maintain information on prospective students in the customer relationship management system, to enable the identification of prospects and salesProvide a promotional and advisory/consultative role aimed at individuals and their key influencers, matching customer needs with ECU products, and, where possible, closing the saleDevelop, organise and attend Future Student eventsDevelop and account manage allocated ECU Schools and act as a relationship manager between Future Student Engagements Team and the ECU SchoolsDevelop and maintain effective relationships with relevant onshore stakeholders and pathway providers, industry contacts, High School Career Counselors, and VET academics in order to foster interest in ECU as a preferred higher education provider and contribute to the recruitment strategy and marketing plansKey Criteria:Previous experience in an event coordination or sales and marketing role, preferable within the higher education sectorStrong focus on all aspects of customer service, including achieving quality outcomes, identifying and meeting customer needs, continually evaluating and improving customer serviceAbility to organise and present information in a concise, understandable and interesting format for a variety of audiencesAbility to build strong relationships with diverse key stakeholders and develop those relationships into business growth opportunitiesHighly developed ability to plan, time manage and organise small to large Future Student Engagement activities with limited resourcesA strong customer service ethos with ability to add value to every interactionAbility to be flexible and proactive in a small team environmentSpecific requirements:Valid Driver's licenseAbility and willingness to work outside of standard business hours and undertake travel as requiredAbility to undertake tasks which require some manual handling of materials and light equipment (e.g. packing/unpacking materials and banners)Valid Working with Children CheckUndergraduate qualifications or progress towards undergraduate qualifications and a strong understanding of the West Australian education sector will be highly regarded.You will also demonstrate personal attributes that are congruent with the University's values of Integrity, Respect, Rational Inquiry, Personal Excellence and Courage.Benefits & RemunerationThis full-time, ongoing position attracts remuneration of $92,087- $99,353 (HEW 6) per annum plus 17% University superannuation contribution.ECU supports a work/life balance for staff.
