Working closely with a supportive Executive Leadership Team, your key responsibility is to champion continuous improvement, efficiency, and productivity across the organisation. This position will partner with stakeholders to identify areas for optimisation, develop innovative solutions, drive positive change, and benchmark continuous improvement against similar local government authorities.
The candidate we are seeking will have demonstrable experience working on complex projects, particularly those focused on process optimisation and transformation, including an understanding of business process improvement methodologies such as Lean Six Sigma, Kanban, Total Quality Management (TQM), or similar frameworks. Additionally, you should have experience in project management principles and methodologies, including project planning, scheduling, budgeting, risk management, and business process management (BPM) methodologies, tools, and software.
To be successful, you can demonstrate your ability to develop and drive large-scale business improvement strategies, using your strong negotiation and influencing skills along with proven communication and stakeholder engagement. As a do-er, you balance the requirement of being strategic and rolling up your sleeves at the operational level. While Local Government experience would be preferred, you may come from other regulated sectors such as banking, utilities, and other government agencies. A degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Project Management, or a related discipline, and/or significant experience in a similar position is a requirement for this position.
