About the Role… We are looking for an experienced data administrator with a keen eye for detail, a love for competing project deadlines, and outstanding customer service qualities.
Reporting to the Senior Manager, Competitions Administration & Systems, you will join a team providing competitions administration services (CAS) to all our Sydney Royal Competitions.
Using our bespoke competitions administration software and database, the purpose of this role is to ensure the integrity of all entries, judging, results, and publications for our agricultural competitions.
This is a highly administrative role, and you will be active in regularly configuring and maintaining our competitions databases in response to changing competition regulations, conditions, and requirements.
About you... You will be significantly involved in working with our developers and participating in user acceptance testing, so you must be comfortable using business technology systems.
A high degree of literacy and data entry accuracy is a requirement for this role, and you must be able to transfer your knowledge to others.
You will have: Understanding and capability in technology (laptops, iPads, mobile devices)A proven track record in proofreading and editing publications and/or databasesAn eye for configuring and maintaining databasesAbility to coach and support a diverse team in the use of technologyExcellent relationship buildingProven skills in MS Office Suite at an intermediate levelProfessionalism, patience, and a "people-first" attitudeAvailability to work additional hours, weekends, and public holidays as requiredAbout us… The Royal Agricultural Society of NSW (RAS) manages the Sydney Royal Easter Show, Sydney Royal competitions, the RAS Foundation, Australasian Animal Registry, and the Sydney Showground.
