This opportunity:
OurMurray Bridge, Hills, Fleurieu Community Servicesteam is currently seeking 2 full time 12 month fixed term contractCommunity Coordinatorsto join their team of committed and passionate professionals.
You will be working at either Murray Bridge Community Services or our Strathalbyn Community Services site. If you are looking for a opportunity that is flexible and rewarding and you are enthusiastic and reliable, then this is the role for you!
A little more about the role:
Assessing individual personal and social needs of clients who are eligible to receive Community Service assistance
Developing appropriate service responses based on assessed need, ranging from the creation and the coordination of packages and services to individual clients
Assisting with the coordination and day to day running of the centre-based activities including respite groups in conjunction with the Manager
Assisting the Manager with rosters and supervision of staff involved in the provision of direct client services
Ensuring professional communication with clients, families and our team
This is a diverse and challenging role, therefore understanding of the Aged Care Standards, the different packages available and experience providing In-home care would be highly regarded
Some out-of-hours, on call work may apply from time to time

About you:
Experience in program coordination in a community care setting or similar
You have an empathetic nature and are committed to supporting the needs of older people
Experience leading and supporting a team of committed and professional people - working together to achieve the same goal
Strong computer literacy & customer service skills
A current drivers licence
Degree in social sciences or equivalent tertiary qualification
