Excellent Customer Experience and Service DeliveryGreat Organisational CultureInnovation and Continuous ImprovementGood Governance and IntegrityLong Term Financial SustainabilityThe role: An exciting opportunity exists to join the Whitehorse Community Safety Department as a Coordinator Community Laws which delivers on a wide range of services including animal management, building site enforcement, fire prevention inspections, illegal waste dumping investigations, prosecutions, noise complaints, local laws including amenity and safety and proactive safety programs and community engagement initiatives.
This position will co-ordinate, organise and manage the scoping, business case development, procurement, data analysis of Community Laws to achieve sustainable, timely and quality outcomes.
This role will work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders who will make a significant contribution to the core deliverables of the Community Laws service.
This role reports to the Manager of Community Safety and has a Team Leader role as a direct report.
This role is crucial in shaping and delivering strategic projects and operational programs within Community Laws, including key initiatives such as:
Developing and implementing the new Domestic Animal Management Plan in 2025Creating relevant processes, frameworks and policiesBusiness case development for projects for Council's considerationLeading operational programs to ensure safer public placesThe Coordinator ensures that these projects and programs align with strategic priorities, driving effective, sustainable outcomes that benefit the community.
About you: To be considered for this position you will have:
