Our Star of the Sea LDC & Kindy is looking for an experienced childcare cook.
11th June, 2024 We are seeking to appoint a permanent part-time Cook at our Star of the Sea LDC & Kindy where you would be working 3 days per week = 18 hours per week.
We take great pride in our diverse menu prepared each day on site with our equipped commercial kitchen.
Key Responsibilities: Plan and prepare healthy, balanced, and age-appropriate meals and snacks for children from babies to kindergarten age. Adhere to dietary requirements, allergies, and cultural preferences of children. Ensure all meals meet the nutritional guidelines set by the centre. Maintain a clean, safe, and organised kitchen environment in accordance with health and safety regulations. Manage kitchen supplies and inventory, placing orders as needed. Collaborate with staff to create meal plans and menus. Engage with children in a friendly and positive manner, promoting healthy eating habits. Knowledge of child nutrition and dietary requirements. Certification in Food Handling and Safety. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
