Perry Street Childcare Centre and Elizabeth Gorman Memorial Kindergarten Inc is a 50 place community-based early education centre and integrated 3 and 4 year old kindergarten.
It is situated in the leafy inner suburb of Fairfield.

If you are passionate about food in the context of early childhood, we would love to hear from you.
We are looking for someone who is passionate about food sustainability, edible gardening, sourcing food locally, seasonal food, cultural aspects of food, and feeding children healthy whole food.
Knowledge or willingness to learn about the inclusion of native ingredients in meal preparation is essential.
You will connect and network with the local community to provide locally sourced, in-season produce.
Responsibilities include meal preparation, menu planning, food safety, purchasing, and food education with children.
A good understanding of food lifestyle choices, specific dietary requirements, including meals for children with severe food allergies, and an understanding of safe foods and developmentally appropriate foods is required.
You will work closely with our early childhood team and utilise garden produce.
The kitchen is the heart and soul of Perry St and strongly reflects the philosophy of sustainability, community, connection, and collaboration.
We are a current member of the Stephanie Alexander Kitchen Garden Foundation.
A monthly RDO is negotiable.
Perry Street is closed for a 2-week break over the December/January school holidays.
