We are in the process of expanding our team in support of our strong pipeline of projects and are seeking a Control Systems Engineer to join our team. The role is based in Cairns supporting local clients.
The ideal candidate will have a systems integration background with proven experience in designing commissioning and supporting PLC & SCADA systems from design, programming, testing and commissioning.

Overview
As a Systems Engineer you will be involved all phases of project delivery from detailed design, implementation, in-house testing, Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT), Site Acceptance Testing (SAT), client handover and support.
You will use and develop on all major PLC and SCADA platforms, with the support of internal and vendor-based training. Typically working across multiple projects and different industries our Systems Engineers are versatile and problem solvers.
Responsibilities of the Role include:
Be involved in the development of technical documentation including:
Functional Description Specifications (FDS)
Test Documentation (BAT, FAT, SAT)
Spreadsheets
Program PLCs, RTUs, HMIs and SCADA implementation on commonly used platforms e.g. Siemens, Rockwell, Schneider Electric, Emerson (GE) plus more.
Use company quality standards and documentation to ensure consistent outcomes.
Provide technical support for both peers and clients.
Actively participate and ensure a productive and friendly culture in the team.
OT Network design and configuration.
UPS, Diesel Generator Integration.
Control standards, software application development and simulation testing.
Remote and onsite control systems troubleshooting and support.
Your Background and Experience:
Tertiary qualification in an engineering discipline or the Trade equivalent
Demonstrated experience in designing, programming and testing control systems through to commissioning.
Enthusiasm for the role, commitment to continual improvement and growth of your skills and knowledge
Innovative thinking and approach to technical aspects of project delivery
Strong interpersonal skills
Good organisational skills
Strong knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and Teams
Minimum three (3+) plus years post graduate experience in above areas
Desirable
AutoCAD with the ability to understand and mark-up LV schematics
Industrial networking design and setup experience
Windows Server, and virtual machine setup and configuration
