Our Client is a major Energy Developer with both operating Renewable energy assets as well as major CAPEX Construction projects works currently under way across Australia. Who is currently seeking top level Contracts Manager to negotiate all EPCM Contracts for them Australia wide.
As the Manager, Contracts Management (EPCM), you will play a pivotal role in transitioning from EPC to EPCM model delivering large scale renewable energy projects. Reporting directly to Head, Project & Construction Management, you will be working closely with project managers to set project standards, requirements, processes and procedures specifically from the commercial contractual and procurement perspectives.
The Manager, Contracts Management (EPCM), shall manage and direct contract-related activities including liaison with internal and external stakeholders, engineers, contractors, suppliers, third-parties, project managers, construction managers and consultants during the development and execution phases of the projects.
In your role as the Manager, Contracts Management (EPCM), you'll also need to ensure suppliers conform to product requirements, contractual terms, SLA's and KPIs and identify key areas of opportunity to maximize value across multiple projects. The purpose is to maximize commercial and service benefits, whilst minimizing risk and delivering continuous improvement
Required experience/qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Law, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field. Advanced degree or professional certification (e.g., Certified Professional Contracts Manager, CPCM).Minimum of 5-10 years of experience in contract management within the EPCM sector or a similar industry. Strong understanding of EPCM project lifecycle, contract types, and industry standards. Proven track record of successfully managing split project contracts from the development phase through to completion.Strong commercial contract analysis and negotiation skills with energy projects.
Strong understanding of project risks for utility scale renewable energy projects across the development, construction and operational phases of a project.
Understanding and experience of contractual mitigation options to transfer, reduce or otherwise manage risk exposure. Proven ability to effectively handle complex contractual issues and disputes.
Proficiency in contract management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
Previous experience with infrastructure developer, ideally utility-scale renewable energy.
10 or more years of experience in EPC and EPCM contract management or project management.
