Your role and responsibilitiesWe are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Mid-Level Sales Support Contract and Risk Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in contract management, excellent negotiation skills, and the ability to manage multiple contracts simultaneously. This role requires a proactive approach to contract administration, ensuring compliance with company policies and legal requirements.
The work model for the role is: Hybrid. This role is contributing to the Electrification Business Australia. The role can be based in either Moorebank, NSW or Notting Hill, VIC.
You will be mainly accountable for:
Prepare, review, respond to contract terms and conditions tenders and RFQs. Redlining and negotiate contracts with customers, suppliers, and subcontractors with the supervision of Senior Legal Counsel.Identify and mitigate contractual risks, ensuring compliance with Legal & Integrity and ABB policy requirements. Work closely with internal sales and account teams, including legal, finance, and project management, to ensure alignment and effective contract execution.Ensuring accuracy and appropriateness of contract text and attachments. Maintain accurate contract records and documentation.Identify opportunities for process improvements in contract management practices and implement best practices.Qualifications for the roleBachelor's degree in Business Administration, Commerce, Law, Engineering, or a related field.Minimum of 7 years of experience in contract negotiations and management, preferably in the engineering or technology industry.Professional certifications in contract management (e.g., CPCM, CFCM) are a plus.Solid grasp of contract law and commercial terms and able to handle multiple contracts and priorities concurrently.Outstanding negotiation and communication skills plus skilled in contract relining, Microsoft Office Suite and Excel.More about usABB's Distribution Solutions Division provides utility, industrial and commercial customers with safe, smart and sustainable technologies for the distribution of electricity.
