The Role: Contracts & Projects Commercial Manager Perth Airport is seeking a Contracts & Projects Commercial Manager to join the Projects and Development team.
This role is critical in managing the entire contract lifecycle and managing the commercial aspects of a diverse range of capital projects across the airport's extensive infrastructure portfolio.
The portfolio encompasses a variety of capital projects throughout the airport grounds, from minor maintenance works to large-scale construction projects.
The Contracts & Projects Commercial Manager will play a crucial role in managing the contracts and commercial aspects of all projects, ensuring their successful delivery and alignment with Perth Airport's objectives.
Key Responsibilities Lead the end-to-end management of contracts for Perth Airport's capital projects, ensuring alignment with commercial objectives, project timelines, and compliance standards.
Drive the negotiation and administration of contracts to achieve optimal commercial outcomes while managing associated risks.
Collaborate closely with the Projects, Legal, and Procurement teams to develop project contracting strategies that ensure the best commercial outcomes for Perth Airport.
Proactively guide, support, and assist in the selection, preparation, negotiation, execution, administration, and close-out of contracts.
Build and maintain strong relationships with contractors and suppliers, ensuring clear communication, adherence to performance benchmarks, and resolving issues efficiently.
About You To be successful in this role, you will have experience in commercial and contract management within the infrastructure or construction sectors.
Specifically, you will have: A bachelor's degree in Law, Quantity Surveying or Construction Management.
Demonstrated experience in commercial and contract management within a construction or infrastructure project.
Strong negotiation skills with a proven track record of achieving favourable commercial outcomes.
A comprehensive understanding of various contracting and procurement models for infrastructure project delivery, risk management and financial implications in contract management.
Exceptional stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to build and maintain trust and strong relationships with both internal teams and external partners.
A proactive, solutions-oriented mindset, with the ability to navigate complex contractual challenges effectively.
