Mining - Operations (Mining, Resources & Energy) Full time The CSA Mine is located in Cobar NSW and is Australia's highest-grade copper mine.
We are located 11 kilometres north-west of Cobar, central western New South Wales. At 1.9 kilometres deep, it is one of Australia's deepest underground mines.
Operating 24 hours a day, seven days a week, CSA Mine directly employs over 500 people including contractors.
We are currently seeking an experienced Contracts Advisor to join our team. In this role you will be responsible for: Drafting contract tender packages to gain competitive pricing from suppliers/subcontractors Review contracts, highlighting costs and scope variances Develop and maintain all requirements for site access for contracting firms (insurances and business systems) Ensure all supply and contracts procedures and CSA site procedures are followed Review contract process and policies for continual improvement Supporting internal stakeholders with contract procedures, and general administration of contracts to maintain a professional standard of work Maintain accurate contract register and system to flag necessary reviews and renewals About you: Understanding of procurement and contract facilitation in mining Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Excellent written and oral communication skills Experience with SAP (preferred but not essential) Relevant Tertiary Qualifications Conditions:
This position is offered on a residential, drive in drive out (DIDO) or fly in fly out (FIFO) from Sydney or Brisbane. A 5/2, 4/3 roster is preferred, and hybrid working options are available - however, be advised that regular time on site will be necessary.
If residential is the preferred commute option, relocation costs and a housing subsidy will be provided to the successful candidate to assist in relocating to Cobar. Candidates interested in the DIDO or FIFO will be provided with commute single accommodation and meals at the mine camp.
