Our Client, a world leading Tier 1 Iron Ore Producer based in the Pilbara, is currently seeking a Contracts Advisor to join their Procurement Team.Role OverviewThe role is for an initial duration of 12 months with the possibility of an extension. The Contracts Advisor role is based in the Perth CBD on a normal Monday to Friday working week supporting a major iron ore development.The Contracts Advisor will be involved in supporting the construction of Rio Tinto's iron ore projects. Reporting to a Contracts Manager, the successful candidate will assist the team on an exciting new major iron ore development as well as in the closeout of legacy projects. This is a great opportunity to join a close-knit team on an exciting new development.Expectations for the RoleDemonstrate the application of our client's values of courage, care, and curiosity.Work on administering the EPCM agreement.Conduct front-end Pre Award activities.Negotiate successfully with contractors.Conduct sourcing activities including strategy development, negotiation, and implementation of master services agreements (panel contracts), construction, supply, and consultancy contracts.Exhibit strong commercial acumen and the ability to think independently.Minimum RequirementsA minimum of 5 years contracts experience.Focus and ability to deliver construction projects safely in the Pilbara.Previously worked for a Tier One iron ore company.Previous Pre Award experience.Tendering, evaluation, contract drafting, and negotiation experience.Ideally have Construction Mining experience.Quantity Surveyor or Engineering qualification.Positive can-do attitude.Proactive management of stakeholders and the ability to build strong relationships.Ability to successfully manage competing priorities in a fast-paced work environment.Proven track record of achieving outcomes through negotiation, influencing, and collaboration.Ability to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing.If you meet these requirements and are ready to take on a career progressing role, we encourage you to apply.
