We are seeking a Contracts Advisor to support our Contracts Manager in managing procurement and contracting activities. Based within our Development & Technology group, you will ensure compliance with our governance framework while contributing to iron ore studies and major capital projects.
Responsibilities: Issue purchase orders and minor works orders. Assist in procurement and contracting for studies and major capital projects, ensuring adherence to procedures and governance standards. Contribute to the development and execution of Project Procurement and Contracting Plans. Support initiatives for Aboriginal engagement, local procurement, and compliance with Australian Industry Participation Plans. Evaluate contractor recommendations and provide input on contractor selection. Manage the entire lifecycle of project contracts, from strategy formulation to contract and project closure. Issue site instructions as necessary. Handle processing of progress claims and invoices. Prepare comprehensive reports for both internal and external stakeholders. Requirements: Contribute effectively to team dynamics and foster a positive team culture. Hold a degree in law, commerce, engineering, or a related field. Possess knowledge of commercial risks pertinent to construction projects. Demonstrate strong abilities in stakeholder engagement and relationship development. Have up to 5 years of experience in roles within contractors, EPCM (Engineering, Procurement, Construction Management), or owner teams.
