Contracts Administrator | Power Projects Seize this unique opportunity as an on-site Contracts Administrator for a significant power project.
Oversee all commercial and contractual phases on a FIFO roster.
THE ROLE
As an on-site Contracts Administrator , your primary responsibility will be managing all commercial and contractual matters related to a significant high voltage (HV) transmission project.
You will work closely with the Project Manager and play a vital role in the daily administration of the head contract and any associated project contracts.
You will be on a 20:8 roster, working on a FIFO (fly-in, fly-out) basis.
Your involvement will cover essential areas such as project planning, delivery, subcontractor management, risk management, project reporting, and project closeout.
Your day-to-day tasks will include, but are not limited to:
Oversee the development of commercial and risk management strategies, plans, process flowcharts, and pro-formas to accurately and effectively manage Downer's rights and entitlements under the head contract.
Collaborate with project scheduling resources to develop and approve the baseline schedule according to the head contract programming requirements.
Draft, submit and manage upstream and downstream claims.
Manage subcontractor progress claim certificates and ensure they comply with the subcontract terms and relevant security of payment legislation.
Participate in detailed project reviews and assist in preparing relevant documentation.
ABOUT YOU
Bachelor's degree in business, Quantity Surveying, Law, Engineering, or relevant industry experience.
Experience working with high-voltage substations or similar is highly desired.
Excellent commercial management skills, including interpreting and applying contract terms and legislation provisions.
Proficient negotiation and influencing skills to achieve desired outcomes.
Superior communication skills with the ability to manage internal & external stakeholders up and downstream.
