Our client is a Construction Management contractor in the mid-tier refurbishment and new-build space that has successfully completed a wide range of projects for local authority and private clients across new-build and refurbishment, typically values from $1M - $20M. The business is now seeking an aspiring project manager with a strong contracts administration background to work under a Senior PM, initially taking on a dual role, but with fast-track to Project Management. This is a fantastic opportunity for career focused construction professionals looking for a route to Project Management.
Based out the offices in Brisbane's Northern suburbs you will work on D&C construction projects and will initially perform a dual CA and PM role, being supported by the Senior Project Manager.
Contract Letting and Procurement Cost reporting and forecasting Project reporting both internally to senior management and externally to the clients on the status of projects, in relation to time and cost. Project programming across new-build and 'live environment' sites. Preparing Scope of Works Sub-contractor Negotiation Assess progress claims and subcontract payments Preparing and submitting variations to the client To be suitable for this position it is anticipated that you will possess the following;
Ideally a degree in Construction Management or similar tertiary qualification. 5-10+ years+ experience as a Contracts Administrator or Project Engineer in Australia, ideally working across commercial refurbishment and new build projects. Must have worked in the mid-tier commercial construction and refurbishment space for Australian building contractors. Project experience in govt, commercial, industrial, retail refurb and new build projects highly desirable. Will have worked with established costing construction software, ideally Procore, MS Projects, Jobpac and /or CHEOPS. On Offer: Work for a dynamic, growing building contractor growing quickly in Brisbane. Fast track route to Project Management – within 12 months for strong performers – enter the business as a Junior PM and progress quickly to a stand-alone Project Manager Strong salary on offer dependent on experience, but it will fall between $130,000 - $150,000+Super depending on your level of experience and salary.
