Contracts Administrator - Commercial Construction

About Us: Our client is a leading commercial construction company committed to high-quality Commercial, Education, Hospitality, and Residential projects, with values reaching up to $30 million.


Position Overview: With a strong pipeline of current and future projects, we are seeking a CA to join the team. You will be working for a Project Manager who is managing 2-3 projects. This is a great opportunity to develop your career into project management or contract management.


Key Responsibilities:


Draft, review, and negotiate contractual details, including specifications, pricing, and delivery schedules.
Prepare and issue contract change proposals and amendments.
Participate in preconstruction activities, providing insights and expertise during the planning stages.
Respond to customer requests for proposals and prepare RFTs for potential subcontractors.
Monitor compliance with contract requirements and ensure all conditions are satisfied.
Manage subcontractors to ensure project targets and key milestones are achieved.
Estimate variations and prepare relevant documentation for approval.
Maintain accurate records of all contract correspondence and versions using Procore software.
Conduct meetings with contractors regarding contractual issues, as requested by the Project Manager.
Prepare reports and presentations for management and clients detailing project status, expenditures, and progress.
Review trade compliance agreements and assist in planning equipment and resource requirements for projects.
Evaluate and report any changes to project schedules, updating timelines accordingly.
Collaborate closely with the construction team to achieve KPIs and promote a positive team culture.
Conduct WHS risk assessments and ensure compliance with workplace health and safety procedures.


Qualifications:


Bachelor's degree in Business, Construction Management, or related field.
Minimum of 4 years experience as a Contracts Administrator in the Australian commercial construction sector.
Strong understanding of contract law and excellent communication skills.
Proficiency in contract management software (Procore experience preferred).
