About the Role:
Reporting to the Commercial and Procurement Manager – Civil & Infrastructure, your primary responsibility is to partner with and support projects across the customer stream in contract management and procurement. This will include, but is not limited to:
Contract management including head contract review, departures and negotiation.
Lead the performance of contract administration activities including preparing and issuing variations, notices of delays, extension of time and progress claims.
Assist Project Teams in undertaking negotiations with Subcontractors and Suppliers regarding the contract, subcontract packages and variations.
Lead and drive the negotiation and execution of Subcontractor and Supplier agreements.
Assist with any potential disputes with a view to early resolution.
Review and analyse subcontractor recommendations and requests in line with project procurement registers prior to forming and executing agreements.
Site travel may be required.
About you:
The successful candidate will have strong interpersonal skills, take pride in their work, have attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy. Innovation is as important as ability and we value staff who can think outside of the box and look at problems as challenges and opportunities.
You will have:
Qualifications in Law, Accounting, Finance, Construction Management or a related degree.
Experience in managing subcontractor claims, variations and notices is highly desirable.
Previous experience in civil and construction will be highly sought after.
Unrestricted Drivers Licence.
Ability to negotiate and achieve positive business outcomes.
Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office applications including MS Project.
Experience using ERP like Pronto, Procore or other similar systems.
Ability to demonstrate the ability to manage all aspects of contract tasks including financial and technical.
Be dynamic, engaging and motivational with a positive and can-do attitude approach.
Ability to pass a drug and alcohol and fit for work assessment.
