Our state government client is seeking a Contract Support Coordinator in their Perth CBD Finance & Contracts department for a 3-month temporary casual contract.Start: ASAPRate: $63.03 per hour plus SuperLocation: Perth CBDHours: 40 hours per week / 8 hours per dayDuration: 3 monthsType: Temporary casual contract (no leave entitlements – casual loading included in rate)ABOUT THE ROLEProvides contract management and contract administration support for centralised panel contracts. The role also contributes to the development of panel contracts. Manages the accounting function for panel contracts to ensure correct allocation of costs and assists with the analysis of contract expenditure to ensure operation within the budget and the achievement of value for money outcomes.RESPONSIBILITIESContract Development:Contributes to the development of medium risk panel contracts and procurement documentation, including contract management plans.Assists with the preparation of tender documentation for high risk and/or complex panel contracts.Liaises with stakeholders to identify and document the contract management strategy and responsibilities.Contract Operation and Management:Manages medium risk panel contracts, including governance, risk, performance and financial management.Adapts contract management practices in changing circumstances whilst maintaining the overall intent of the contract.Complies with, and advises on, government and agency procurement policies.Interprets and applies the terms and conditions of the contract to varied situations.Assists with the management of Contractor's compliance and maintains currency of the requirements of panel contracts such as Certificates of Insurance, Securities, Management Plans and progress reports to meet government policies.Uses procurement systems to maintain accurate contract records inclusive of contract spend, contractor performance, risk and outcomes.Monitors contract performance and identifies when corrective action needs to be taken to drive better outcomes.Undertakes market research and applies findings to manage and inform contract decisions.Assesses and prepares contract variations and exemption requests, making appropriate decisions based on risk.Prepares for, and facilitates, straightforward contract negotiations.Interprets contract requirements, terms and conditions and ensures that all parties understand and deliver on their responsibilities.Supplier Relationship Management:Develops and maintains effective working relationships with suppliers based on trust, commitment and communication.Adopts a structured approach to managing supplier relationships.Identifies and leverages sources of value from the relationship.Monitors and reports on supplier performance, taking corrective action where necessary.Liaises with suppliers to resolve routine contractual issues and escalates more complex issues.Reviews and evaluates expiring contracts and uses the results to contribute to future procurement strategies.Applies and advises on processes for exercising extension options, contract expiry and transition management.Complies with disposal procedures that are ethical, equitable and efficient.Customer Relationship Management:Develops and maintains effective working relationships with customers based on trust, commitment, and communication.Advises customers on using the contract to drive value.Liaises with customers to resolve routine contractual issues and escalates more complex issues.Adopts a structured approach to managing relationships with customers, including managing risks and addressing issues.Leadership and Management:Establishes and maintains effective working relationships with both internal and external clients and stakeholders.Fosters positive team values and a cooperative team spirit.Provides leadership and technical advice in mentoring and coaching junior staff.Other:Assists with the development of procurement policies, standards, process improvements and guidelines.Assists with the preparation of reports and presentations related to panel contract matters and the raising of awareness of panel contract processes.Carries out other tasks and functions that are within the limits of the employee's skills, competence and training as required.PRE-EMPLOYMENT REQUIREMENTSCurrent National Police Clearance (or able to obtain if successful)Full working rights within Australia for the duration of the contractHOW TO APPLYIf you have relevant experience and would like to apply, APPLY NOW or email Jesse @ DFP Recruitment Perth via ****** for any queries not listed in the advert.Applicants new to DFP may be asked to provide additional information including work rights status via a survey link – if requested, we ask that you provide this information in order to expedite your application.DFP welcomes applications from Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people, people with diverse cultural and linguistic backgrounds and people with disability.
