Contract Specialist

Job description About the Role Looking for an experienced Contracts Specialist/Professional who will be responsible for overseeing the formation and administration of contracts and subcontracts for a major mining project.
In this role you will: Lead the preparation of bid packages, ensuring compliance with project requirements.
Review and approve bid tabulations and supplier selections within your authority.
Recommend higher-level bid selections for approval.
Execute commitments within signing limits and maintain contract forms.
Lead negotiations on commercial contract terms as needed, in coordination with your supervisor.
Implement the Supply Chain Assignment Schedule, aligning contract tasks with standard procedures.
Monitor contract performance and provide updates on potential financial or technical issues.
Coordinate with teams on operational activities affecting contracts and performance.
Manage contract changes, negotiating settlements with clients.
Represent the company in moderately complex contract discussions.
Key Criteria A bachelor's degree (or international equivalent) with 10-13 years of relevant experience Extensive experience in contract formation, negotiation, and award processes.
Proven ability to manage complex contract structures, fee arrangements, and terms and conditions.
Strong understanding of change management procedures, including handling RFIs, change notices, change orders, amendments, and dispute resolution.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for working with diverse project teams.
Experience in supervising staff, managing workloads, and ensuring timely execution of tasks.
