Working in partnership with the NSW Government, the Parklife Metro consortium is working on an exciting new metro rail infrastructure project in Greater Western Sydney, the Sydney Metro Western Sydney Airport project ("SMWSA"). SMWSA is a city-shaping project comprising of a 23-kilometre new railway which will connect the Western Sydney Aerotropolis in the south with St Marys in the north – where customers can connect to the existing Sydney Trains suburbans T1 Western Line and provide major economic stimulus for Western Sydney, supporting more than 14,000 jobs during construction for New South Wales and national economies. In December 2022, Parklife Metro were awarded the largest PPP contract in New South Wales to deliver the six stations, 12 trains, core rail systems and the SMF in Orchard Hills, as well to operate and maintain the line for 15 years upon delivery. This is known as the "SSTOM Package".
RDWSA as the O&M Contractor will be responsible for the successful delivery of the operations and maintenance elements of the project and we are currently looking to appoint a Procurement Manager / Subcontracts Manager to work within the O&M Contractor Commercial and Finance team.
RDWSA's Commercial Team RDWSA's Commercial Team, led by the Commercial Director, oversees three pillars:
Commercial; Legal; Procurement. Missions The primary purpose of the role is to support the Commercial Director with the commercial and contract management of the O&M Contractor in a Public Private Partnership.
Specific responsibilities Governance: Assist Project Leadership Team in ensuring compliance across Commercial, Divisional and Group governance. Assist the APAC Leadership Team in the development and implementation of project/divisional commercial policy, process, and systems as required. Manage project in accordance with governance framework & budget. Contract Management: Support the implementation and deployment of a project contract management framework. Support project level advice on commercial matters, contract negotiations, contract risk allocation and cost benchmarking. Ensure all project staff understand and comply with commercial requirements in contracts with customers and major/high risk subcontracts. Development, implementation, and maintenance of all contract variation and claims positions including identification and quantification of O&M Contract scope changes and all subsequent negotiations with the Client. Negotiation on contract terms and conditions with customers/subcontractors as applicable. Ensure project reporting facilitates the effective management of risks and successful project delivery. Costing: Challenge the financial controls team on the quantification of variations and contractual claims. Manage progress payment claims, variations, contractual claims, and final accounts in accordance with the terms of the O&M Contract. Management of the processes for extensions of time. #J-18808-Ljbffr
