This is a Recruitment Pool for Permanent Full Time appointment, or Fixed Term Full Time for 12 months with the possibility of extension(s) and/or permanency. Position Profile Oversees the management of commercial procurement and community services and contracting with WACHS. Manages contracts and contract renewal, where WA Health funds commercial/for-profit providers and non-government organisations to provide health services and goods, including negotiating service specifications and reporting requirements, managing contract compliance and monitoring and reviewing contract performance. Develops complex and high risk contracts; including procurement planning, tender documentation and evaluation and contraction formulation and implementation.
Eligibility to Apply: Australian citizenship or permanent residency is an essential requirement for applicants to be considered for permanent positions in the public sector.
Other Conditions: WA Health engages staff in positions of trust and responsibility. WA Health policies require applicants to undertake criminal records screening and integrity checking as part of the appointment process. Referees may also be asked to comment on an applicant's integrity and past demonstration of ethical behaviour.
Please note this recruitment process requires completion of satisfactory Pre-Employment Health Assessment (PEHA). Any offer of employment with WA Country Health Service (WACHS) is conditional on satisfactory PEHA to ensure you are able to perform the inherent requirements of the position. Suitable applicants will be placed in a pool from which appointments may be made when similar vacancies occur. Appointments may be made from this pool until 31/10/2025.
