Our client is a privately owned opportunistic developer with a proven track record in residential, commercial, and industrial projects. They have a substantial development pipeline which includes large industrial estates and multiple smaller industrial sites in NSW, VIC, and QLD.
About the role:
Industrial project.
CA will be managing multiple projects within this precinct.
This is an office-based role with requirements to visit the site.
Draft scopes of works and tender packages to accompany requests for quotations issued to subcontractors for projects.
Roles & Responsibilities:
Conduct initial investigations with subcontractors to clarify the organisation's conditions relating to contracts for prospective projects.
Manage and drive the review process to ensure the award of all subcontractors within the required time frame and budget.
Maintain a register of subcontractors Operate and maintain commercial and contract systems including Project Costs Reporting (PCR), Asset Registers, Commercial Pack database, and Contract Sum.
Ensure cost forecasting for allocated subcontracts and cost codes are accurately maintained and keep project management teams abreast of any cost issues immediately upon identification.
Participate in identification and quantification of Head Contracts Process and recommend progress claims for work completed and refer disputed claims by subcontractors to the relevant manager for decision.
Interpret specifications and drawings to understand the scope of works for the project at the Head Contract and Subcontract scope level.
Skills and Experience
To be considered for this position, you must have current experience as a Contracts Administrator.
Other key requirements include:
Non-negotiable – experience using Cheops (construction software program).
Tertiary Qualifications in Property, Construction, or Equivalent
3-years post-graduate experience.
Track Record in Managing Subcontractors & Contract Tenders
Excellent Communication, Negotiation, & Computer Skills
