NOTE: You must be willing to work in the office in the above office location to apply for this position. Job Description Reporting to the Auctions Manager, the Contract Administrator is responsible for supporting the energy procurement function via the Australian Energy Exchange, and the ad hoc provision of energy procurement and contracting services from time to time.
Working in a small team, you will work with salespeople, sales coordinators, Utility Suppliers, and the Auction Manager, to take responsibility for coordinating contract documentation, lodging documentation, and affecting the successful sign up of our customers to energy contracts. In this capacity, attention to detail and the consistent application of rules and processes is essential to ensure that efficient outcomes are delivered to our customers, and energy suppliers and retailers can enter into their agreements in confidence.
Specifically, you will demonstrate your excellent administrative skills and your knowledge of the energy markets to ensure that customers have all the information that they require and have completed all the necessary agreement forms to arrange their energy supply and data access per their preferences.
You may also be required to discuss contract or procedural matters with customers, receive feedback on the results we achieved, and factor the information you gain in these discussions into improved administration and reporting processes. You will be required to support the development of our processes and systems on an ongoing basis.
Additionally, from time to time you may be called to support other team members with the delivery of their tasks and contribute generally to the successful delivery of energy procurement and contracting services to all of our customers.
You will be required to participate in the "end to end" energy specification, pricing and contracting process, including:
Taking responsibility for the observation of Energy Action and retailer contract acceptance processes following all procurement events; Acting as the primary interface with the Sales team to effectively reduce contract losses at times of customer property churn; Manage contract variations through Energy Action processes to ensure that contract variations are managed in a timely and accurate manner; Acting as the primary interface between the Commercial team and the Finance team on contract and invoicing related matters; Answering retailers and Sales/Account Managers queries regarding contract processes and contract status; Ensuring retailer contract records in CRM accurately reflect contracts in place with counterparties; Improving the Energy Action processes and paperwork to better meet the needs of the market and our customers; Supporting the operations workflows to ensure key performance indicators are met and all customer experiences are positive. Qualifications 3-5 years of relevant experience in data, pricing or documentation management. Intermediate skills in Excel. University, TAFE or industry-based qualifications in data processing and/or numeracy studies and/or contract administration, preferred. Minimum 3-5 years' administrative experience in a data centric and timeline driven environment. Problem solving skills and an "eye for opportunity." Sound negotiation and project management skills, with attention to detail. Excellent interpersonal, organisational and administrative skills. Strong written and verbal skills. Participating in and managing concurrent projects from inception to completion. The ability to compile information from a wide range of sources efficiently and accurately. Demonstrated Microsoft Excel proficiency at Intermediate level is preferred.
