Seeking a Contract Administrator with a MINIMUM 2 years' of Melbourne construction experience.
Our Client Our client is an established and professional commercial builder seeking a Contract Administrator with a MINIMUM of 2 years' Melbourne construction experience.
You will be tertiary qualified with relevant experience working as either a CA or QS.
This is an outstanding opportunity for development, with a mixture of site and office work from CBD to Geelong.
Key Responsibilities As a Contract Administrator with our client, you will have basic knowledge of what is required and will be developed by an encouraging mentor.
You will be driven to learn and develop your skills as you play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth execution of projects.
Your responsibilities will include: Contract Management: Effectively manage contracts, ensuring compliance with terms and conditions, and identifying and addressing potential issues.
Project Documentation: Maintain accurate project records, including contracts, correspondence, and other essential documents.
Financial Management: Monitor project budgets, assist with cost control, and facilitate accurate billing and payment processes.
Stakeholder Communication: Collaborate with various stakeholders, including clients, subcontractors, and project teams, to ensure clear and effective communication.
Claims and Variations: Assess and manage claims, variations, and extensions of time, while keeping records of any changes.
Risk Assessment: Identify and mitigate potential risks associated with contracts and projects.
Qualifications and Experience: To be successful in this role, you should possess the following qualifications and experience: Tertiary degree in Construction Management or Quantity Surveying.
Minimum 2 years' experience in Contract Administration within the construction industry.
A willingness to learn.
Good understanding of construction contracts, standards, and regulations.
Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
Proficiency in project management software and Microsoft Office suite.
Software exposure and strong Excel/Office skills.
Attention to detail and the ability to work effectively within a team.
