We are looking for an ambitious, driven and team-spirited Continuous Improvement Lead, to join our Ballarat team on the X'Trapolis 2.0 rail project for a 2 year, fixed term basis.
Known internally as the owner of our Alstom Performance System (APSYS), you will be the go to specialist for all things, continuous improvement throughout our business. With a focus on coordinating and challenging improvement actions to reach targets to deliver operational performance & develop local best practices, this is an expansive and rewarding opportunity that is highly valued by the team.This role is well supported by colleagues within Victoria, allowing us to a wide range of experience levels. We are seeking an understanding of lean manufacturing and be passionate about improving process, tools and practices.
Primary Responsibilities:
Work with senior leaders to roll out the Alstom Performance system (Continuous improvement) roadmap
Support each department in this roll out, providing on-field expertise on lean & continuous improvement tools
Facilitate and coordinate all improvement actions to reach Alstom Performance system targets defined with each subject matter expert based on Continuous improvement roadmaps
Consolidate and report deployment status on a monthly basis to Managers and Alstom Performance system(Continuous improvement) team/ ANZ Quality
Assist the Operations by reviewing task sequencing, reducing non-added value tasks, developing methods and tools to improve results
Map local processes flow chart and identify room for improvement
Support Quality Teams in Problem Solving approach with proper implementation and tailoring of problem solving methods
Key Requirements:
Experience in lean manufacturing or continuous improvement projects and a passion for problem solving
Demonstrated use of lean principles (5S, Standard, Gemba, VSM, problem solving, performance and kaizen mindset)
Excellent interpersonal and relationship building skills
