At Mission Australia, we're seeking a skilled web Content Specialist to help bring our work to life, including our 2025+ strategy. In this role, you'll craft, optimize, and migrate website content that reflects our mission, enhances SEO performance, and ensures a seamless, engaging user experience.
We're looking for a creative and detail orientated professional who can combine storytelling with technical expertise to elevate our digital presence. If you have a talent for writing compelling digital content, a keen eye for detail, and a deep understanding of content management systems, we'd love to hear from you!
Your key responsibilities will be to:
Review, revise and develop engaging content that aligns with Mission Australia's brand voice and messaging, enhancing readability and user engagement.Collaborate with designers to ensure that content supports visual elements and enhances website aesthetics.Migrate existing web content from Joomla to the Optimizely platform, using intermediate tools as needed to organise, edit and refine content, ensuring seamless transitions and minimal disruptions to user experience.Optimise web content for SEO, including conducting keyword research, adding meta tags, and implementing on-page SEO best practices.Edit and format content to fit the new website layout, ensuring consistency with design and branding guidelines.Utilise CMS, DAM, and content planning tools to manage and organise content efficiently.Develop strong and effective collaborative working relationships with key internal and external stakeholders.Document content structures, templates, and workflows to streamline future content management processes.Requirements for success Proven work experience: 5 + years of demonstrated digital experience as a content writer, copywriter, or similar role, with a portfolio of published articles, or significant projects.Exceptional writing and editing skills in English, with a keen eye for detail.Hands-on experience with content management systems, particularly Joomla and Optimizely, or similar platforms.Strong understanding of on-page SEO principles and keyword optimisation strategies.Basic HTML and CSS knowledge for content formatting, and experience with image editing tools.Demonstrate a proactive attitude and a strong drive to achieve goals and contribute positively to the team.Before starting work with us, you will need to undertake a national police history check, qualifications, and referee checks, and have a clearance to work with children/vulnerable people.
