About the Role
Are you looking for a dynamic and challenging opportunity in the world of audio content?
ABC is seeking an exceptional Content Director to oversee programming, content and people for our flagship ABC Classic and ABC Jazz platforms.
As the Content Director for ABC Classic and ABC Jazz, you will lead the curation and delivery of engaging and high-quality content across various platforms, including radio, digital, and live events.
Your role will involve leading a team of talented producers, presenters, and content creators, ensuring that our programming remains relevant, engaging, and aligned with the values and mission of ABC.
Responsibilities include: Managing the daily and ongoing ABC Classic and ABC Jazz content to deliver outstanding original content that resonates with our diverse audience, fostering a deep connection with classical and jazz enthusiasts across Australia.
Providing high level talent management direction and guidance to create compelling and innovative content that showcases the rich tapestry of classical and jazz music, ensuring that all content meets the highest standards of quality, accuracy, and editorial integrity.
Overseeing the overall ABC Classic and ABC Jazz station sound and campaigns, including promos and imaging.
Contributing to the budget planning process as part of the ABC Classic leadership team.
Building and developing an inclusive, creative, capable and motivated team and also identifying and developing new talent.
About You
To succeed in this role, you must possess a deep passion for classical and jazz music, coupled with a strong understanding of the Australian cultural landscape.
Excellent leadership and communication skills are essential, as well as the ability to inspire and motivate a team of creative professionals.
You have high-level interpersonal, negotiation, and editorial skills.
You have high-level analytical and problem-solving skills and the professionalism and energy to deliver innovative solutions that make a difference.
