FTI is looking for a talented professional at the Consultant or Senior Consultant level to join their Melbourne valuations team. As a key member, you will be an integral part of this fast-growing practice. FTI Consulting has a dedicated team of valuation specialists providing valuations of businesses, intangible assets and many other types of financial assets for taxation, strategy, regulatory, M&A, accounting, and litigation purposes. We perform detailed financial analysis assessing value drivers and summarise our findings in reports meeting the highest quality standards required by investors, regulators, tax authorities, boards, audit teams and courts. Our valuation specialists are also active in the valuation community including holding roles with local and international accounting and valuation bodies.
What You'll Do Execution of a wide range of valuation engagements for strategy, transactions, regulatory, tax reporting, accounting, and litigation purposes.Support day-to-day engagement execution, including interaction with clients, financiers, auditors, tax advisors and legal advisers.Undertake company and industry analysis.Perform financial, ratio and comparable company analysis.Perform valuations of shares, businesses, debt, intangible assets, and quantify loss and damage in commercial disputes.Compose clear and concise written reports summarising our valuation analysis.Assist senior team members with new business development activities.Develop financial models and reporting templates.Contribute to company initiatives and team development activities.Qualifications & Experience Bachelor and/or Masters Degree in Accounting, Economics or Finance.1-4 years professional experience ideally in a valuation role.Strong communication skills both verbal and written.Excellent analytical and quantitative skills.Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.Adaptability in a fast-paced and dynamic working environment.Strong attention to detail and ability to handle and analyse complex financial information.Ability to work in a team and autonomously.FTI Consulting offers a variety of perks and benefits, including:
