Providence T&I is actively seeking Consultants, Managers and Principals across our Advisory, Delivery and PMO business. Roles Communications Engineers – Lead advisors with experience designing, installing, testing and maintaining communication systems and networks across defence and transport sectors. These may include military satellite (MILSAT), satellite communications (SATCOM), telecommunications, radio frequency (RF), wireless, or optical networks. Signalling and Control Systems Engineers – Lead advisors for developing, implementing, testing and maintaining signalling and control systems for railways, metros, trams, or other modes of transport. These may include European Train Control System (ETCS), Communications-Based Train Control (CBTC), Automatic Train Operation (ATO), interlocking, or track circuits. System Integration Engineers – Lead advisors for integrating various subsystems and components into a coherent and functional system that meets the requirements and specifications of the client. This may involve hardware, software, firmware, network, or interface integration across defence and transport sectors. Testing and Commissioning Engineers - Responsible for verifying, validating, and certifying the performance, functionality, and safety of systems and subsystems across defence and transport sectors. This may involve conducting tests, inspections, audits, trials, or simulations in various environments and scenarios. Integrated Logistic Support Engineers - Responsible for planning, managing, and executing the logistic support activities for systems and subsystems across defence and transport sectors. This may include reliability, availability, maintainability, and safety (RAMS) analysis, life cycle cost analysis, maintenance planning, spare parts management, training, or documentation. A understanding of MILIS and defence policies will be regarded highly. Defence Network Engineers - Responsible for designing, configuring, testing and maintaining network infrastructure and services across defence and transport sectors. This may include routers, switches, firewalls, servers, storage, cloud, or virtualization technologies. Defence ICT Security Engineers - Responsible for ensuring the security, confidentiality, integrity, and availability of information and communication technology (ICT) systems and data across defence and transport sectors. This may include implementing, monitoring, and auditing security policies, controls, tools, or standards. Safety Engineers - Responsible for ensuring the safety and compliance of systems and subsystems across defence and transport sectors. This may include conducting safety assessments, hazard analyses, risk evaluations, or safety audits according to relevant standards and regulations. Engineering Managers - Responsible for leading, managing, and coordinating the engineering activities and resources across defence and transport sectors. This may include defining the scope, schedule, budget, and quality of engineering projects, overseeing the engineering teams, resolving technical issues, or liaising with clients and stakeholders. Project Managers - Responsible for initiating, planning, executing, controlling, and closing the project activities and deliverables across defence and transport sectors. This may include defining the project objectives, scope, schedule, budget, and quality, managing the project resources, risks, issues, changes, and communications, or ensuring the customer satisfaction and project success. Scheduler/Programmers - Responsible for creating, updating, and maintaining the project schedules and programs across defence and transport sectors. This may include using scheduling software, such as Microsoft Project or Primavera, to define the project tasks,> dependencies, durations, resources, milestones, or critical path, or to monitor the project progress and performance. Technical Bid Specialists - Responsible for preparing, submitting, and managing the bid proposals and tenders across defence and transport sectors. This may include conducting bid research, analysis, and strategy, writing and editing the bid documents, coordinating the bid team, or negotiating with clients and suppliers. Technical Risk Managers - Responsible for identifying, analysing, evaluating, and treating the project risks across defence and transport sectors. This may include developing and maintaining the risk register, matrix, or plan, implementing risk mitigation strategies, or reporting and communicating the risk status and issues. Asset Management Engineers - Responsible for planning, managing, and optimizing the life cycle of physical assets across defence and transport sectors. This may include conducting asset condition assessments, developing and implementing asset management plans, strategies, or systems, or ensuring compliance with relevant standards and regulations. The ideal candidate (dependent on skill level) will have: Bachelors Degree or higher Minimums 3 years industry experience Demonstrated experience in Transport or Defence Projects Prior consulting experience would be highly regarded Active Defence Clearance is a must for defence roles Remote working available for Defence Roles About Providence T&I Providence T&I is part of Providence Group, an Australian founded and wholly owned top 20 Defence SME consultancy specialising in Organisational and Business Strategy, Program Delivery, Business Transformation, and Enterprise Protective Security.
