Consultant Radiologist and Nuclear Medicine SpecialistJob no: 880311 Work type: Part time Location: Adelaide Metro Northern Categories: MedicalCentral Adelaide Local Health NetworkStatewide – SA Medical ImagingSalary: MD2 - $364,134 / $711,442 Total Indicative Remuneration Salary (Subject to private practice agreement)North Adelaide 5006 | Women's and Children's HospitalPart Time, Ongoing role working 18.75 hours per weekAbout the roleThe SAMI consultant radiologist and nuclear medicine specialist (dual trained) is responsible to the site's Campus Clinical Head for delivering Medical Imaging (radiology and nuclear medicine) services of the highest possible standard to SAMI patients both in terms of individual performance and by contributing to a multi-disciplinary approach to the delivery of patient care, teaching, and research. The incumbent is required to work as part of a multi-disciplinary clinical and academic team.Specifically, this position is primarily responsible for assisting in the provision of general Medical Imaging (radiology and nuclear medicine) services at SAMI WCH. Responsibilities of the incumbent include:Provision of professional leadership to clinical staff and supervision of teaching of radiology trainees, other staff and medical students.Active support and participation in quality improvement and quality assurance activities to ensure safe, appropriate, effective and efficient patient-centred care processes.Representing SAMI at campus meetings and liaising with clinicians regarding service provision (for example at hospital clinico-radiology / multidisciplinary team meetings and management team meetings). It is expected that the incumbent will take responsibility for at least one clinico-radiology / multidisciplinary meeting per week.A duty to support and encourage team cooperation amongst staff to optimise the level and diagnostic accuracy of the service provided.At the request of the Campus Clinical Head, the incumbent may be required to deliver Medical Imaging (radiology and nuclear medicine) services at a variety of SAMI locations.About usStatewide Clinical Support Services (SCSS) is a unique public healthcare organisation that serves health consumers and provides specialist clinical services to the health system in South Australia.
