Job Overview We are seeking a skilled Construction Project Manager to oversee a diverse range of projects in Townsville.
This role is primarily office-based (90%) and plays a crucial role in ensuring the smooth execution of construction workflows.
You will manage the entire project lifecycle using a fully integrated project management system and serve as the primary point of contact for clients.
Additionally, you will be responsible for providing monthly WIP reports and handling other project-related financial documentation.
Key Responsibilities Develop detailed plans for each stage of the project.
Coordinate projects to align with targets and objectives.
Monitor progress to mitigate risks, maximize benefits, and control costs.
Achieve financial goals by forecasting requirements, preparing budgets, analysing variances, and implementing corrective actions.
Perform accurate cost estimates for upcoming projects and variations.
Conduct thorough analysis of all cost estimates throughout the project lifecycle.
Plan and monitor project budgets to ensure they align with forecasts.
Critical Skills & Attributes Qualification in project management.
Experience in project management in construction.
Proven ability to deliver projects on time and within budget.
Strong understanding of the project management lifecycle, techniques, and tools.
Advanced computer skills, especially in project management software and spreadsheets.
Experience in Co Construct software would be highly advantageous.
Traits Strong leadership and people management skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
Ability to work well under pressure and make decisive decisions.
Collaborative management style with the ability to build strong relationships.
