Createch Industries are currently seeking a Construction Manager to support the delivery of statewide projects in the heavy industry, oil and gas, and infrastructure sectors.
To be successful in this role candidates must be able to:
Clearly articulate directions to employees, subcontractors and vendors to ensure that quality and safety standards are being met.Manage work across multiple sites and ensure all works are in accordance with the contract, project specifications and budget requirements.Manage construction budgets, timetables, schedules and resources.Delegate specific responsibilities to support staff to deliver all site scopes of work.Identify, mitigate and track construction issues (both internal and external).Liaise directly with Clients on matters of progress, safety and scope.Responsibilities: Provide direction to employees, subcontractors and vendors to ensure that quality and safety standards are being met.Visit sites regularly – including bid walks, construction walks (in progress visits), lead punch list and closeout walks, attend status and coordination meetings with Clients.Manage construction budgets, timetables, schedules and resources in coordination with the Construction Coordinator.Delegate specific responsibilities to the Construction Supervisor and Construction Coordinator to deliver all site scopes of work.Identify, mitigate and track construction issues both internally and client identified.Report to Senior Management on Construction progress and financial performance at weekly meetings.Respond efficiently and effectively to work delays, to minimize project disruptions.Required Skills/Qualifications: The candidate will possess a trade qualification in a relevant discipline, and/or an engineering qualification of Cert IV or higher.The candidate must have a minimum of 10 years supervisory experience post qualification.The candidate must possess supervisory experience in a relevant construction sector namely:Heavy IndustrialOil/Gas and EnergyGovernment InfrastructureRailDemonstrated skills in the use of MS Project (or Primavera) in a construction setting.High proficiency in the use of MS Suite of programs (Excel, Word etc.).How do your skills match this job?Sign in and update your profile to get insights.
