Your new role
The Medium Density Construction Manager will manage the construction team to deliver projects across NSW and the ACT. This will be achieved through the application of extensive management experience, by providing a high degree of technical expertise to all projects and via a thorough understanding of construction methodologies employed across medium to high-density residential projects.
Responsibilities would include: Management and implementation of onsite safety in accordance with Workplace Health and Safety Requirements across all projects.Ensure an efficient transition from the development team to the project management team.In conjunction with the project team, analyse cost and construction options to determine the safest and most cost-efficient processes to complete project work.At project pre-commencement and throughout the delivery phase, provide input into project sequencing and programming including planning, procurement, and reporting to internal stakeholders.Provide oversight of project and site management activities across multiple projects from site planning/establishment to project completion and defect rectification.Oversee the implementation of project management planning.Implement and oversee a risk management framework.Review and provide comments to project teams on the status of construction budgets, the preparation of forecasts and cash flows for the project.Adequately forecast and provisions for all site labour requirements.Ensure the defect rectification process is being followed and the team is satisfactorily completing works.Your skills and experience
7-10 years of experience in all phases of residential construction
Tertiary qualification in building construction or Trade qualification
Experience with Australian Standard and Building Codes
Experience managing construction projects
Builders' Licence highly regarded
