The role
We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Junior Litigation Lawyer to join our Projects, Infrastructure & Construction group. This is a rare and exciting opportunity for a successful candidate to receive comprehensive training and development to build a successful career in this specialised field.
Key Responsibilities:
Collaborating with partners on construction matters
Conduct legal research and analysis on construction law issues
Prepare legal documents/contracts
Participate in client meetings
Assist in resolving disputes related to construction contracts, project delays, defects, and other issues
Stay updated on the latest developments in construction law and related regulations
To succeed in this role, you will ideally have:
A passion for the construction industry
1-3 years of post-admission general litigation experience
Excellent academic record with strong technical legal skills
Commitment to excellence, attention to detail, and delivering high-quality outcomes for clients
Ability to effectively manage time, handle competing tasks, and work to tight deadlines
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Team player with a supportive and collaborative working style
Self-motivated with a 'can-do' attitude and eagerness to learn and grow your career with Piper Alderman
