The construction services team is predominately based in Coffin Bay as this is where most works have been undertaken throughout the growth phase of Angel's. The construction team is water based, providing the essential infrastructure for all water based oyster farming. The team strives to provide "A" grade leases which will grow & condition our oysters to best practices. Angel Seafood has three primary locations: Cowell (Franklin Harbour), Coffin Bay, and Haslam (North & South banks). Also, within the Haslam management area, Streaky Bay.
DUTIESCoordinate & lead teams in day to day activities, assist and lead teams to achieve desired outcomes.In conjunction with Construction Manager, assist with mobilizing teams to designated bays.Liaise with Construction Manager on current and upcoming projects.Strategic planning and carry out of projects within timelines and budgets.Coordination and training of team members, maintaining a clean and safe workplace.Abide by workplace health and safety policies and procedures.Recording and reporting on daily, weekly and monthly outcomes, objectives & issues.SKILLS & EXPERIENCEQualifications:Coxswains grade 1CV high risk licenseLF High risk licenseCurrent First aidCar license with agriculture endorsementAbility to use and navigate via GPSAbility to operate plant & machinery i.e. excavatorsExperience:Vessel operationsGPS plottingKnowledge of bays & lease/license areasEffective Leadership of small teamsSkills:Strong leadership with the emphasis of training unskilled workforceIntermediate computer skills, Email, Excel, Zoom, reporting, etc.Appropriate verbal and written communicationOrganized and able to meet deadlinesLOCATIONSCoffin Bay, currently 12-15 Lawrie Rd. This position requires extensive travel to different sites for periods of time with projects in Cowell, Haslam, Streaky, and Coffin Bay.
PERFORMANCE GOALSAssist in completing projects within timeframes & budgetTraining and retention of crewMaintaining sound duty of care to team, adhering to company policies and proceduresREMUNERATIONPay: $80,000.00 – $85,000.00 per year
